Project Overview

Scope of Work

DSP provided all power and low-voltage utility conduit to the site, all site lighting, and a complete turnkey building. A key challenge of the project was the power and low-voltage utility work, which required crossing a busy intersection with lane diversions and traffic control. Throughout the project, DSP worked in direct coordination with the architect and general contractor to execute the parish’s needs with complete accuracy. DSP delivered all required contract items in accordance with the project plans and specifications, including additional underground utility work and enhanced accent lighting for the bell tower and cross.

Detail Scope of Work

  • - Main Service- 1200A / 208/120v/ 3ph / 4w
  • - DSP installed and exterior mounted main electrical service with sub feeds into the building and an EV panel on the exterior.
  • - DSP installed all contract and change order lighting with nLight programmed controls for the interior and exterior of the project.
  • - DSP provided conduit and boxes only for the fore alarm system throughout the project.
  • - DSP installed underground conduit to 6 future EV parking stalls with (2) 1” conduits per location.
  • - DSP installed conduit for SCE and telecom services. The installation crossed a main road and a large island in the middle of the road.
  • - DSP provided above grade, below grade and wall rough conduits for the low voltage cabling and AV systems.

Project Highlights / Key Features

  • - DSP installed 165 lights ranging from pole mounted parking lot lights, decorative large building sconces, down and wall wash can lights, hi bay luminaires, decorative restroom sconces, and t-bar drop in lights
  • - Main switchgear is 1200A
  • - This system is 208/120v, 3ph, 4w
  • - No transformers or generators were installed. All emergency lighting is self- contained 90-minute battery backup.

Challenges

This project had moderate delays driven by redesigns by the parish.

  • - Apprentices on this project were a mix of certified trainees and ABC SoCal unilateral program
